Think Health

Many of us suffer from body image issues; I’m too fat, too thin, etc., I believe when we are balanced in our mind, it is reflected in our bodies. I always say “What you focus on multiplies, so why not focus on the positive?”  So the more we focus on what’s wrong with us, the more it shows up. So let’s change our habits, let’s stop “seeing” what’s “wrong” but let our thoughts be on our body being in harmony. Let us start by using the following affirmation:

I am a strong, confident, disciplined child of the Universe. I am established today in the awareness that my body is a living Temple. All the functions of my body are harmonized, and every organ is doing its perfect work in a perfect way. I am receptive and responsible this day to the Divine Intelligence within me which knows the needs of my body temple. I will eat sensibly, exercise regularly, and rest sufficiently. I am free from hidden hungers that might lead to excess in eating or drinking. The Universe’s love deep within me satisfies my longing heart and fills my soul and body with all that they require to make my life full and complete. My appetite and assimilation of food are in divine order, and my body manifests the symmetry and perfection of Divine Intelligence, whose expression I am. I see myself in the mirror of Truth, beholding the form and shape that I desire to express in my body. I see myself healthy and satisfied. Today I will think health!

“Yeah, but…” Disease

How many of us suffer from the “yeah, but…” disease? You know the one that goes something like, “I can do it, yeah but such and such a person won’t like it?” or “I can open my own business, yeah but the economy is bad?”

We often allow this “yeah, but…” disease to cripple us. We have great ideas and here comes “yeah, but…” to stop us from executing them!

Let’s get rid of this disease!

Let’s put it where it belongs, where “butt” belongs, behind us! (Pun intended).

Step up, step out and take a chance! Execute your great ideas and help with eradication of the “yeah, but…” disease!

You Can If You Think You Can!

This is a beautiful poem, remember thoughts become things, think positive!

You Can If You Think You Can!

If you think you are beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you like to win, but you think you can’t,
It is almost certain you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,
For out in the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow’s will.
It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You’ve got to think high to rise,
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man.
But soon or late the man who wins,
Is the man who thinks he can.

Let go or be dragged

Just read an article called “Let go or be dragged”, and it made me think, “Why is it so hard to let go of something that is obviously hurting us or not working?”

We refuse to release what is known because we fear the unknown. What will life be like—and who will we be—if we’re not the employee in this job … the spouse in this marriage … the person with this health problem … the victim who can’t win, and so on?

There have been plenty of times in your life when you have stubbornly clung to outworn jobs, unfulfilling relationships and unproductive behaviors simply because they had become comfortable and familiar. First you try to convince yourself that the situation was really okay, or tolerable, or destined to improve, even when your deep-down self knew better.  Working up the courage to let go of a bad situation felt a lot like running up to the edge of a cliff repeatedly until you can finally muster the will to leap over the chasm to the other side.  In the process, you endured many false starts, much self-criticism, abundant advice from others and emotional exhaustion until you finally do what you really knew you needed to do all along.

It is not a pretty picture when we resist change and are dragged into it and it is not a pleasant feeling.

And so we come to the affirmation “Let go and let God.” It is indeed frightening to let go of a current situation when we do not know what’s coming next. And yet, that is the only way to grow. There is a higher truth waiting to be expressed through us—but it can only come into being if we set our egos aside and allow it to unfold.

We are destined for so much more than the limited expression of who we are today. If we let go of that which is holding us back, we discover the truth of our being: That we are a child of God with unlimited potential and vastly untapped power, wisdom and gifts. We have within us all the clarity, all the courage and all the integrity and magnetism we need to overcome any current limitations and create something exponentially better.

We are not only worthy of that divine expression—it is why we are here.

Let Your Light Shine!

Eric Butterworth’s “Discover the Power Within You” speaks about the following:

Saying “But I am only human” is the understatement of your life. You are not only human; you are also divine in potential. Fulfilling your goals and aspirations in life is dependent on the stirring up and releasing that divine potential. There is really nothing difficult in letting your inner light shine. All we need to do is correct the tendency to turn off our light when we face darkness. A light bulb is nothing more than that unless it is turned on. When on, when connection is made with electrical source, it becomes a radiant source of light and warmth.

So, no matter the difficulty around you, or the darkness before you, turn on your light.

No matter what happens, turn on your light and keep it on.

“Good” Opinions of Others

I read a section from Inspiration by Dr. Wayne Dyer that deals with being independent of the “good” opinion of others. I think it is important to share it goes like this:

Suffering the consequences of living according to someone’s wishes doesn’t make any sense; rather, we need to oppose the external opinions that try to force us to be what we’re not intended to be….Mmmmm, some food for thought, huh?

There are many well-meaning people in our lives who have ideas about what we should and shouldn’t be doing, especially relatives; they tend to be specialists in this area! If we allow them to guide us with advice that is not in keeping with our inner calling, we will suffer the anguish of an uninspired life.  When we allow the opinions and dictates of others to determine what we’re going to be, we lose sight of our objective here, which is to live an inspired life.

We need to determine for ourselves how much we’ve allowed others to decide issues such as what we do, where we live, with whom we live and even how we are treated. We need to understand that absolutely no one else truly knows and feels what we are here to accomplish, so we must give ourselves permission to hear our inner guidance and ignore the pressure from others.

Regardless of how absurd our inner calling might seem, remember it is authentically ours and it doesn’t have to make sense to anyone else.

So willingness to listen and act on our inspiration, independent of the opinion of others, is imperative.

Powerful Thinking

Did you know that when we are afraid of something happening, we actually attract it? This is because of the amount of emotion and persistent focus we invest in the fear is powerful. We need to remove the personal investment of fear from what you don’t want to happen and now use that powerful energy and direct it at what you really want to happen.

Do you think, that if we realized that our thoughts became the things and events of our life, if we began believing that we were truly unlimited; and started to grasp that divine intervention could be freely summoned by anyone to help make our dreams come true, that we would continue doing the same old things, living the same old life, and waiting for the same old miracles?

Or would we begin thinking things we have never thought before, saying things we have never said before, and doing things we have never done before?
This is the “test” all must pass. Not to prove anything to anyone but to ourselves.

No matter what you have been thinking or feeling, your power to create something new is NOW!

So let us all start focusing our energies in the positive direction. Let us create the life that we want!
