Confidence

People have a way of bulling their way through things, believing that bullying is a sign of confidence. Actually it is a glaring sign of lack of confidence.

If one is confident, there is no need to be forceful in getting your point across. There is no need to be defensive if you are confident.

How many of us can say we are truly confident? Does a little criticism throw you for a loop?  Do you seek validation about your decision(s) even though you are “sure”? These are some signs of lack or less than true confidence.

To have true confidence, one has to BELIEVE in ones self.

How much do you believe in yourself?

Getting what you want

I haven’t written much in a long time because I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to write about. I keep asking myself, “What do I want to write about?” “What is important to talk about?” And I came up with “How about getting what you want?”

Everyone says they deserve the best, but how many of us truly believe it? Clearly not a lot, and it is evident in the number of poor and unhappy people in the world. Most of us feel guilty about having things, we feel selfish if we go after what we want, we hide behind what other people think and what they perceive us to be. Some of are even indoctrinated into thinking that having money is a sin! (The people without usually come up with this).

We need to step out of our comfort zone, go for what we want and know that we deserve it and we WILL get it, the doors will open and what we really and truly want will become clear and answers/solutions  will be right there.

Affirmation:

“I am in tune with the Infinite and I can do what needs to be done. Through the power that dwells within me I can succeed, I can overcome, I can be what I want to be, I can have what I truly want.”

Step Out of the Comfort Zone

The time has come for us to step out of our comfort zone. To go after what scares us and excites us at the same time.  That thing that makes pit of our stomachs quiver, now is the time. We have spent time finding excuses as to why we can’t (and those are innumerable), now let’s look at the benefits if we do this thing.

We have dreamt it, now its time to believe it, feel it and go for it. It is time we realized that the comfort zone is not so comfortable after all. Let yourself feel what it would be like to live your dream and you will realize how uncomfortable you really are in your comfort zone.

So today let’s step out of the comfort zone and see what you know to be true, be free!

Getting What You Want!

What do I want to write about?  What is important to talk about? How about getting what you want?

Best Worse Thing!

Ever hear the saying, “The worse best thing that ever happened to me!”?

We all have experiences where it feels like the ground underneath our feet has opened up and the world swallowed us whole. We not only lost our footing but our entire foundation crumbled around us. It may take the form of a death, an illness, loss of a relationship or job.  Or it may be as ambiguous as the loss of a dream, our innocence or an ideal. Whatever it may be, in these times we make decisions that sometimes make life feel….different and it is not usually warm and fuzzy. Let’s now think about those situations, and I ask you, would you have made the same decisions with same knowledge you had then? I guarantee that you would!

The decisions you made were based on what you knew then and we may see it as a mistake or a result of our faulty thinking. But when we shift into gratitude mode, we shift our perception and make room for the possibility that the darkness may contain the very light we were looking for. If we face the darkness with gratitude, our eyes adjust and we notice things that were hidden in the light. We discover nuances about our strengths, our abilities, and ourselves that were concealed before. Because the darkness requires us to slow down and become more focused, we discover what is important. We get down to the absolute necessities and come to discover that we have more than enough. We discover what true contentment is and what we really value. And we discover a depth to life and a Presence that we never knew before.

What is your best worse thing? When you look back on your life or at even your current situation, can you choose gratitude in this moment? Gratitude is a choice we can make at any point along the way. It is a decision to ignite the darkness with your light and to live life fully and completely in all circumstance. Now, choose gratitude, and give thanks for everything!

Stop Limiting Yourself

Limiting yourself so others won’t feel bad about their lives & choices is an excuse. How dare you be less than your very best?– Paula Renaye, Hardline Self Help Tweet-able Tough Love Quotes Diomo Books.

Many of us put limitations on ourselves because we don’t want to seem as if we are bragging. We down play ourselves because we are told that society doesn’t like a show-off. We hide our talent.

Now there is a big difference between showing–off and letting your genius shine.

Showing-off is telling everyone how good you are or letting everyone know that you are great at what you do by pointing it out every chance you get. While letting your genius shine is just being your authentic self, by doing so, whatever it is you are good at will show (no flashing lights necessary).

If you are good at something, why should you not show it, just because others will feel inadequate? Their feelings are exactly that….THEIRS! Not YOURS!

So stop limiting yourself and let your genius shine, you are limitless!

“No one can ever be more by your being less.” – Paula Renaye, Hardline Self Help Tweet-able Tough Love Quotes. Diomo Books.

Eliminate “Impossible”

Let’s resolve today to eliminate the word “impossible” from our vocabulary.  Nothing is impossible and we have seen it proven time and time again. There was a time when flying was “impossible” and now it is common place. All you have to do is believe and it will be possible. Like in the movie “Field of Dreams”, build it and they will come, well, believe it and it will be possible.

Your faith, especially in yourself, and working with this faith, you can achieve anything, hands down! No holds barred!

So do away with impossible, it no longer exists!  All things are POSSIBLE!

Fear vs Faith

Fear is faith turned inside out. Fear is having faith in certain images created by the mind rather than having faith in the creative power of the mind itself.

Our fearsome mental images may have their origin in prior personal experiences, or they may be the result of cultural conditioning. These memories may be filled with strong emotions. If we do not discharge this emotional energy from the body, these images will continue to haunt the mind. As we put our faith in these images, we make our fear real and thus we give it power over us. (The word fear can be used as an acronym for false experiences appearing real.) A story from the East tells of an artist who painted a large picture of a tiger on the wall of his house. He was a very good artist and the pictured appeared so real that he became afraid to enter his own house! So we, too, may frighten ourselves with our own imaginings when we imbue them with reality.

Faith is the power to create our reality by our perceptions, our beliefs and our interpretations. Seeing is believing, and yet believing is seeing. According to our faith, our world reveals itself to us and becomes real.

Like I always say “You have to believe it to see it!”
