Changing your inner state of mind

When you hate what you are doing, complain about your surroundings, curse things that are happening or have happened, or when your internal dialogue consists of shoulds and shouldn’ts, of blaming and accusing, then you are arguing with what is, arguing with that which is already the case. You are making Life into an enemy and Life says “War is what you want and war is what you get”. External realities, which always reflects back to your inner state, is then experienced as hostile.  –  Eckhart Tolle

Just by changing your inner state of mind, you change your experiences, give it a try! Whenever something doesn’t work out the way you thought it would, instead of thinking that something went wrong, see it as something that went unexpectedly well, but for reasons that are not yet apparent.

How do we measure true success?

The world will tell you that success is achieving what you set out to do. It will tell you that success is winning, that finding recognition and/or prosperity are essential ingredients to any success. All or some of these things are usually by-products of success, but they are NOT success.

What the world does not tell you- is that you cannot become successful, you can only be successful.

Realize that your entire life journey ultimately consists of the step you are taking at this moment. There is always only this one step and so you give it your fullest attention. This does not mean that you don’t know where you are going, it just means that this is the primary step and the destination secondary. Also what you encounter at your destination once you get there depend on the quality of this one step. It means: What the future holds for you depends on your state of consciousness now.
